(Montreal) — Spending time with nature can reduce stress.
Researchers at McGill University and a university in Chile teamed up to look into how the brain responds to nature through 100 different brain related studies. They found nature offers a kind of mental reset. The study says patterns in nature are easier for the brain to process and require less mental effort than the fast-paced environment in cities or online.
The study suggests there is evidence to support the fact that doctors could recommend time in nature to counter concerns of excessive screen time.
