(Story Co.) An Ames woman died following a motorcycle vs pedestrian accident in Story County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on February 18th at 8:01 p.m. 31-year-old Steven Javier Salazar, of Ames, was operating a 2025 Kawasaki Motorcycle westbound on Lincoln Way, near S Russell Avenue, when he struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street.
The pedestrian, 80-year-old Margaret Suzanne Olson of Ames, was transported by Life Flight to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines where she succumbed to her injuries.
