(Atlantic) Atlantic High School is hosting the IHSSA District Individual Speech contest on Saturday, February 28, and they need volunteers to help run the event.
Atlantic High School Speech and Debate Coach Trisha Koenig say “It’s a great way to support SW Iowa performers and get a chance to see some amazing talent.”
Koenig says a room chair is someone who monitors the door and lets performers and audience in and out of the room.
Timers are needed to run stopwatches during the performances.
There are morning and afternoon shifts for both, but we will welcome any help to make the day run smoothly.
