(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department and Atlantic Firefighters responded to a structure fire at 5 Cedar Street in Atlantic at 5:05 a.m. this (Friday) morning. Atlantic Fire Chief Tom Cappel says when rescue crews arrived, the former home, converted to a garage, was fully engulfed in flames.
Chief Cappel spoke with the property owner, who confirmed no one was occupying the home, and learned there was no electrical or gas service to the property.
No one suffered injuries in the fire. Chief Cappel thanks the Atlantic Police Department, Cass EMS, and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office for assisting the Atlantic Fire Department at the scene.
