(Carroll) Carroll Kuemper started strong and maintained its momentum, winning 75-44 against Atlantic in boys’ basketball action at Kuemper.
Griffin Glynn led the Knights with 16 points, followed by Jack Badding with 15 points, Ryan Clair with 10, and Dylan Schon with 8.
For the Trojans, Gavin McLaren was the top scorer with 13 points, including three three-pointers. Kale Jensen added 12 points, and Hudson McLaren contributed 7.
The Knights jumped out to a 21-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 40-17 advantage at halftime. Jack Badding scored all 15 of his points in the first half.
The home team extended its lead to 52-17 midway through the third quarter, which prompted a running clock for the remainder of the game.
Other scorers for the Knights included Nash Leonard with 6 points, Tanner Badding with 5, Taylen Alford with 4, Jordan Tryon with 3, Griffin Bauer with 3, and both Pick and Perkins added 2 points each. For Atlantic, Benton McLaren scored 4 points, while Gage Gross and Corbin Ritter each contributed 3 points, and James Brauer added 2 points.
With this victory, Kuemper improves to 7-3, while Atlantic falls to 2-8.
