(Adams Co.) The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate vehicle accidents last weekend, both resulting in minor injuries.
The first crash occurred around 9:26 a.m. on November 2nd at the intersection of Highway 34 and Ginko Avenue. According to the Sheriff’s Office, multiple 911 calls reported the collision involving two pickup trucks.
Deputies, along with Corning Fire and Corning Ambulance, responded to the scene.
An investigation found that Chad Larson, 37, of Nodaway, was driving east on Highway 34 in a 2015 Chevy Silverado K250 with two passengers when his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by another pickup. The other driver, Samuel Foreman, 20, of Massena, was traveling north on Ginko Avenue in a 2013 Chevy Silverado K250 and failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the collision.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be towed. Minor injuries were reported from Larson’s vehicle.
Foreman was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device (Stop Sign) and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
The second crash happened just after midnight on November 1st in Corning. An Adams County deputy reported his patrol vehicle was struck by another car near the intersection of Davis Avenue and 10th Street.
Authorities determined a 17-year-old driver from Corning, who had three passengers, was traveling south on Davis Avenue when he failed to yield and hit the deputy’s westbound patrol vehicle. Minor injuries were reported.
The teen was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way and Violation of a Minor’s Restricted License.
The Sheriff’s Office said no serious injuries were reported in either crash.
