(Sioux Center) One person died, and another suffered injuries in a two-car crash in Sioux County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened late Saturday night on Highway 18, near Jay Avenue. Authorities say 63-year-old Brian Dean Bouma of Hull, Iowa, died in the crash. The injured person is identified as 21-year-old Enrique Leon Martinez, of Sioux Center.
The report says an eastbound 2005 GMC Yukon driven by Martinez crossed the centerline into the westbound lanes and struck a westbound 2003 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Bouma.
The Coleman Funeral Home transported Brian Bouma to the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny. Sheldon ambulance transported Martinez to the Stanford-Sheldon Hospital.
