(CAM) Nodaway Valley and CAM’s Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pam Stangeland, discussed legislative priorities at the CAM school board meeting this past week. Stangeland acknowledged that this is generally a formality on school board agendas; however, it is something that needs to happen. Stangeland points out one priority listed on the Iowa Department of Education’s priority list.
Dr. Stangeland says other priorities center around school choice, student preparedness for post-secondary education, and closing the achievement gap.
Under the action items on the CAM school board agenda, the school approved the 2025-2026 Meal, Technology, Registration, and Activity Pass Fees.
The school board also approved the following sharing agreements with Nodaway Valley: Superintendent, School Business Official, Assistant School Business Official, and the school registrar, who manages student records and the registration process.
