(Omaha/Valley) The National Weather Service in Omaha released information this morning indicating a slight chance of severe weather across north-central and central Nebraska, as well as western Iowa, this evening.
This includes all of the counties along the Missouri River from Minnesota to the Missouri border. This includes Harrison, Pottawattamie, Mills, and Fremont counties.
Forecasters say there is a 50-80 percent chance of storms, and a 15-40 percent chance of severe weather, with the highest risk in northeast Nebraska.
The main threat will be wind gusts of 60 to 70 miles per hour.
It appears the timing of these storms will be from 5:00 p.m. this evening to 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
