(Guthrie Co) Two people were injured in a motorcycle vs SUV accident in Guthrie County Saturday afternoon.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at around 12:08 p.m. at the intersection of 180th Street and Highway 4. 40-year-old Sarah Hefel, of North Liberty, was driving a 2016 Ford Escape on Highway 4 and slowed down with the turn signal activated, indicating she was going to turn west onto 180th Street. 63-year-old Dana Rutherford, of Bagley, was operating a 2023 Harley motorcycle on Highway 4 and rear-ended the SUV.
Dana Rutherford and a passenger, 70-year-old Lynn Rae Rutherford of Bagley, were both transported to Methodist Downtown by Life Flight with suspected serious injuries.
