(Onawa, IA) — A body has been found in the Missouri River near Onawa. The body of a young woman was pulled from the river yesterday evening after being discovered by a local boater. Authorities say the woman initially went missing Sunday afternoon after being last seen in the river in South Sioux City. Investigators believe she was swept under the water by the current and never resurfaced. The body was transported to the Iowa Medical Examiner’s office to confirm the deceased person’s identity.
