(Pottawattamie Co) Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Director Doug Reed updated the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors today on Regional Water Rural Water Association’s water status.
Doug Reed said Regional Water continues to work on connecting a temporary pump into the booster station project which connects Regional Water’s system to Council Bluffs Water Works.
Regional Water Rural Water Association customers remain in Alert Level Red. Reed anticipates the Level Red, or possibly a step down to Level Yellow, will remain in place through the entirety of the summer.
Reed said the permanent pump project has been plagued with a number of issues, but the overall project is still on schedule to be done in October.
