(Fremont Co) The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says on June 26, 42-year-old Troy Allen Adkisson, of Tabor, was arrested for multiple charges.
Deputies allege beginning in the fall of 2024, Adkisson, acting as the Fremont County Fair Board President, provided false documentation of purchases to the Fremont County Fair Board, resulting in the payments of over $15,000 to Adkisson. Deputies also allege Adkisson fraudulently used a debit card issued to him by the board at least once in the fall of 2024.
In June of 2025, Adkisson then made a false report to law enforcement, claiming the items he purchased on behalf of the fair board were stolen in an effort to conceal the theft.
Adkisson is charged with:
· Ongoing Criminal Conduct, Class B Felony
· Theft 1st Degree, Class C Felony
· Fraudulent Practices 1st Degree, Class C Felony
· Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card under $1,500, Aggravated Misdemeanor
· False Report to a Public Entity, Serious Misdemeanor
Adkisson is being held at the Fremont County Jail on $48,000 cash/surety bond.
It should be noted that a criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
