(Council Bluffs) – Authorities in Council Bluffs are investigating a personal injury crash involving a van and a motorcycle that occurred Sunday evening.
According to the Council Bluffs Police Department, the collision happened around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of 16th Avenue and South 12th Street. Responding officers were informed that a van had struck a motorcyclist in the intersection.
Council Bluffs Fire and Rescue responded to the scene, and the motorcycle rider was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released, and no names have been made public at this time.
Police say it is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Council Bluffs Police Traffic Unit.
