(Atlantic) – The Atlantic High School Softball Program will honor one of its finest as Shelly Glynn-Pellett is inducted into the Trojan Softball Hall of Fame on Tuesday, June 10, during the home game against Creston.
Shelly started for Atlantic from 1990 to 1992, She was a dominant force in the pitching circle. A three-year varsity starter and letter winner, she set a standard of excellence that still stands decades later.
In her sophomore season (1990), Shelly posted a 10-5-1 record, facing 402 batters over 98 2/3 innings. She struck out 60 and allowed just 11 earned runs, finishing the year with an incredible 0.78 ERA — the lowest single-season ERA by a Trojan pitcher in over 50 years. She earned All-Southwest District honors and was named All-State Honorable Mention.

Shelly threw 11 shutouts, struck out 146 batters — including 12 in one game — and finished with a 0.92 ERA, the second-lowest in school history behind her own record-setting mark. She was once again a Unanimous First Team All-Conference selection and earned another spot on the All-Southwest District Team.
Following high school, Shelly continued her softball career at Southwestern Community College and Grand View University, where she achieved a perfect game.
