(Atlantic) The Atlantic Parks and Recreation Department’s Park Advisory Commission is excited to announce a monthly family game celebrating Atlantic’s parks. Commission Chairman Kevin Ferguson shared this fun initiative with the board during Wednesday’s regular meeting.
The game is themed “Parks, Picnics, and Post,” highlighting a different park each month. The community is invited to explore the featured park, take a photo of their group or family enjoying their time there, and submit it to the Atlantic Parks and Recreation Facebook Page for a public vote on the favorite picture. The promotion kicks off in May at the Dog Park located in the Schildberg Recreation Area.
A new park will be showcased each month, encouraging families to visit and capture a picnic-style photo, complete with snacks or food. Ferguson mentioned that participants can earn bonus points for displaying creative signs like “I Love ATLANTIC PARKS!”
