(Adair Co) The Adair County Board of Supervisors canvasses the Orient-Macksburg Community School District special election results this morning.
Adair County Auditor Mandy Berg said the results only include Adair, Union and Adams County. Next week they will add in Madison County.
Patrons voted to dissolve the Orient-Macksburg Community School District as recommended by the dissolution commission, which the Board of Directors appointed. Following the dissolution, the district’s territory will be divided among the Nodaway Valley Community School District, the Winterset Community School District, and an additional area that the Iowa Department of Education will designate.
The Adair County Board of Supervisors also received reports from the Environmental Health Department and the County Engineer.
