(Guthrie Center, IA) — AC/GC Girls Basketball continues to win games in blowout fashion but Head Coach Brad Baudler still wants to see improvement in some areas. The Chargers have won 10 in a row and are currently on target for a #2 seed for a region when the playoff brackets are released. Last week, they beat a solid Clarinda team in a higher classification, tore through Ogden and blew out Interstate 35. Baudler identified some key spots that ACGC needs to work on
While Cam Richter and Shay Lemke lead the way but AC/GC is getting production from their other starters as well. Junior Karli Kautzky averages 5.1 ppg and backs up Lemke at the point guard spot, Junior Becca Littler averages 6.8 ppg and has been a streaky three point shooter and get hot at any moment and there’s Sophomore Stella Largent who is averaging 10.2 ppg
Its not an easy week starting tonight with 13-6 West Central Valley, Thursday is 12-3 Coon Rapids Bayard and Friday is 11-8 Pleasantville. Baudler says the competition will get his team ready for the post season
AC/GC is 1 game behind Des Moines Christian for first place in the West Central Conference standings.
