(Atlantic) The Cass County Fair Board is organizing a new event next month to raise funds and keep the fair free for everyone. They will host a dinner and fundraiser at Bluebird Hill on Saturday, March 8. The social hour will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM. Fair Board President Curtis Bierbaum expressed concern about rising costs, affecting everything from food supplies to entertainers. He noted that the dollar doesn’t stretch as far as they would like. Although many loyal sponsors and donors have supported the fair for years, they cannot rely on them to absorb the increasing expenses.
The County Fair’s 4-H Food Stand has been the staple for raising money and keeping the fair free.
Bierbaum announces that tickets are now available for purchase at Casscoia.com or through social media @casscoia. A pair of tickets costs $150.00, while a table for eight costs $500.00. The ticket price includes a Prime Rib meal, followed by an auction. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Cass County Fair
Bierbaum emphasizes that the primary goal is to raise enough funds to cover the increasing costs of food, entertainment, and general operations. By doing so, any additional funds obtained from sponsors, donors, or grants can be used to enhance the fair in the future. This will allow for more activities, greater entertainment options, and increased opportunities for memorable fun.
