(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a special meeting this morning to officially approve obligating the remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The Department of Treasury announced that the funding must be obligated by December 31st.

The balance left over from the radio project to go toward the Secondary Roads equipment is $10,150.54.
The Supervisors approved paying Vision Atlantic’s $150,000 ARPA allocation on December 31st for the Child Care Center. The funding was approved in a resolution on July 2nd.
The board then approved a resolution allocating the ARPA fund balance from the ambulance purchase project toward emergency medical services training in the amount of $31,831.51.
The final resolution approved was allocating ARPA funds for the libraries in Cass County in the amount of $20,291.91.
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 is an economic stimulus bill that provided federal funding to help the country recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
