(Cedar Rapids) A new advocacy group is aiming to stop additional casinos from coming to Iowa. The coalition, Iowans for Common Sense, began an ad campaign this week aimed at preventing one such proposed casino from being built in Cedar Rapids. The ad also calls for support from Iowans to put a stop to other future casinos and believes current casinos already bring value to their communities. The group cited polling info that shows a majority of voters don’t want any new casinos and would get behind a moratorium on those facilities.
