(Iowa City, IA) — When the Iowa football depth chart came out this week, there was one spot that got everybody’s attention and that was at running back. Redshirt Freshman Kamari Moulton leap frogged over two other more experienced backs and will get the start this Saturday.
Hawkeyes Head Coach Kirk Ferentz said there some specific reasons why Moulton is now the #1 running back for Iowa
Moulton is from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and played in four games last year — the minimum allowed in order to maintain the redshirt. He carried the ball eight times for 50 yards and two touchdowns and Ferentz says he has grown in so many ways since last year
Iowa hosts Illinois St. this Saturday, kickoff at 11 am, televised on the Big Ten Network.
