(Ames, IA) – Iowa State’s Beau Freyler has been named as a nominee for the Wuerffel Trophy and the AFCA Good Works Team.
The Colorado Springs native has been one of the top players for Iowa State after being named a co-captain in 2023 and was named Second Team All-Big XII honors. Freyler became the 10th player in program history to earn Academic All-America honors after totaling 107 tackles and had three interceptions.
Freyler has taken home the Cyclone Serve Award which is presented to the male and female athletes with the most community hours. He has also made 25 career starts and has played in 37 games.
