(Eugene, Ore.) – Senior sprinter Kalen Walker’s season came to an end with a semifinal appearance in the 100-meter dash.
Walker ran a time of 10.22, good enough for 21st overall. Walker started in lane one and finished seventh in the third heat. Christian Coleman and Brandon Hicklin were the automatic qualifiers from the heat.
Walker was vital in Iowa’s title-winning 4×100 relay team at the Big Ten Championships. He was also a first-team All-American during the indoor season after breaking the Iowa school record multiple times.
