(Carroll) A Carroll man was charged following a single-vehicle accident in Guthrie County Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 12:25 p.m., Carroll County Dispatch received a report of a SUV in the ditch in the 1400 block of Highway 141. A Guthrie County Deputy responded and investigated. According to the report, a 2006 Chevy Tahoe was eastbound on Highway 141 and for unknown reasons it left the roadway and entered the south ditch. The Tahoe went through a barbed wire fence owned by White Rock Conservancy and then came to a stop, stuck in the snow.
When the Coon Rapids Police Department arrived on scene, the driver, 34-year-old Lucio Pulido, was asleep or passed out in the driver’s seat. Numerous open containers of beer were observed in the vehicle. Pulido was processed for impaired driving and a breath test was obtained with a reading of .166 BrAC.
Pulido was charged with Operating While Under the Influence 2nd Offense, Failure to Maintain Control, Open Container, Driving While License Under Suspension, and Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Canceled or Revoked.
