(Audubon) The Audubon School Board gave approval to begin a fundraiser for free student admission.
Superintendent Eric Trager said for the past few months, the board has been exploring ways they can allow students to get into all school activities free of charge. Right now students can buy an activity ticket, or pay admission at the door.
In other news from Monday’s School Board meeting, Trager spoke about the Governor’s proposal for significant increases to teacher’s salaries. He said this is something they certainly support and think is important.
Trager said they do have some grave concerns about the AEA bill and what that will do the Area Education Agencies and the services they provide to the schools.
And, the Audubon School Board approved the resignation of Jaime Christensen and the hire of Kris Obermeier as Head Softball Coach.
