(Atlantic) Late Friday afternoon, due to the menacing blowing and drifting snow, Atlantic Public Works Director Kirk Knudsen announced the partial closing of 29th Street from Highway 6 to Palm and 22nd Street from Olive to Redwood Drive. On Saturday afternoon, Knudsen stated that both lanes in those streets are now open to traffic.
City Road crews have been clearing streets for several days starting at 4:00 a.m. On Friday, crews swept through the city twice in 12 hours to keep up with the blowing and drifting conditions. City Road crews made another pass-through today (Saturday).
Kirk Knudsen says the Road Crews will return to it at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday.
