(Harlan) The Harlan City Council on Tuesday accepted the retirement of City Clerk/Finance Director Jane Smith.
Smith told the Council her last day will be April 1st.
City officials expressed their appreciation for what Smith has done over the last eight years.
The City will soon begin to advertise to fill the position.
In other news, the City Council approved updated holiday benefits effective December 6, 2023, to include an additional half day on Christmas Eve and an additional half day on New Years Eve and a new vacation schedule effective January 1, 2024.
The Council approve changing the City Hall hours to 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. effective December 6th.
A resolution of Appreciation was approved recognizing Jeff Musich, with the Street Department, for his 30-years of Service. Musich will receive a monetary award of $150.
And, a resolution accepting completion of the Airport Reconstruction T-Hangar Taxilanes project was approved. The final contract price is $537,905.08 as determined by the Engineer’s Statement of Completion dated November 22nd.
