(Sidney) – A Nebraska man crashed into a tree in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 29 over the weekend.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident happened at 12:31 p.m. on Saturday at the 9-mile marker going southbound on Interstate 29. Authorities say that 29-year-old Mason James Buress of Cedar Creek, Nebraska was driving a 2005 GMC Envoy when he left the roadway and struck a tree. Buress was transported to the local hospital with unknown injuries. The GMC was labeled as a total loss in the accident.
On the report, they also detailed that Buress was wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
Sidney, Hamburg, and Percival Fire and Rescues responded to the call.
