(Polk Co) A Waukee man died following a two-vehicle accident in Polk County Friday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says 26-year-old Dayton Bernal, of Waukee, was driving a 2015 BMW motorcycle eastbound on Hickman Road. 54-year-old Carlos Gonzalez, of Des Moines, was driving a 2016 Chevy Silverado southbound across Hickman Road from Marbella with a green traffic signal. Bernal did not stop for the red light and crossed in front of the Silverado, and the truck hit the motorcycle.
Bernal died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
