Iowa State held Cincinnati to a season-low of 99 passing yards in the game as the defense also won the turnover margin 2-0 as T.J. Tampa and Jeremiah Cooper both had interceptions. Cooper picked up high now fifth interception of the season which ranks him as one of the top in the nation in interceptions.
Rocco Becht went 15-25 in the game overall throwing for a total of 241 yards and a pair of touchdowns and had ten rushes in the game, one of which led to a touchdown for his second touchdown rush this season. Jayden Higgins had six receptions for 172 yards and even had a 72-yard catch which was the longest in the career for the freshman quarterback Rocco Becht. The freshman ranks second in school history for completions with 123 this season and also is third for passing yards for a freshman with 1,464 this season.
Iowa State has a bye week this upcoming week and then will travel to Texas as they will take on the Baylor Bears on October 28th, as the Cyclones will battle the Bears in a Big XII matchup. Kickoff time has currently not been announced.
