(Anita, IA) – The CAM Cougars are approaching the game against Audubon with a fundamentally sound team this season. This rivalry has been a back-and-forth battle between one another as they are 4-4 in the last four games between the Wheelers and the Cougars. CAM head coach Barry Bower knows that Audubon is a team that plays strategically and that his athletes need to stay focused on what they need to do.
CAM had a great defense last season and returns Jack Follman and Austin Williams who combined for 101 tackles last season to continue that defensive trend. Coach Bower’s goal is to stop the Wheelers’ running game and protect the backfield. They are specifically looking to contain Evan Alt, a Wheeler who had 382 rushing yards off 59 carries. If CAM stays disciplined for the whole 48 minutes, then they will look to be the victors over Audubon.
Coach Bower is excited to take on Audubon in a game that will be beyond competitive this season. If there is any game to watch on Friday night, this is the one you want to have your eyes glued on to in week one.
CAM will travel to Audubon to take on the Wheelers at 7:00 p.m.
