(Audubon) – On The Upcoming Podcast, we talked to Audubon senior Evan Alt about his experience as a Wheeler and his preparations for next season. Audubon was 4-6 last year under head coach Sean Birks. The Wheelers graduated seven seniors last year, one of which was their leading receiver Manny Beisswengner who had 308 yards and one touchdown on 26 receptions.
With the season just inching toward the start, Audubon is looking to get prepared for a new start with a young team. Evan discussed the season that he is not only looking forward to but eager to see how the younger guys transition to the team.
The Wheelers will start out with a tough game against CAM on August 25th, who were 7-3 last season and won five straight games until the 8-player Second Round. With a new offense and a young team prepared for the season, they are looking to be more than successful. Alt knows that his role next season will be one of leadership, as the Wheelers will need a leader both in practice and in games.
