(Cedar Falls, IA) – The Iowa High School Athletic Association and the University of Northern Iowa have agreed on a continued partnership to keep the state high school football playoffs in the UNI-Dome through the 2027 season.
IHSAA Executive Director Tom Keating said in a statement, “This agreement extension ensures that high school football players and teams can continue to pursue the “Road to the dome” and fans may continue to enjoy attending those games out of the elements and in the comfort of the UNI-Dome.”
With games continuing to be played in the UNI-Dome, the IHSAA state football playoffs have continued to the Dome’s estimated $17 million dollars in impact. The IHSAA also helped to invest in a long-term improvement for the UNI-Dome which is estimated around $50 million.
