(Creston) A Creston man suffered injuries when he was forced to lay down his motorcycle to avoid colliding with an SUV.
The Creston Police Department says the accident happened on Friday at 12:46 p.m. on Howard and Pine Street. Police say 38-year-old Cody Witt was hurt in the accident.
According to the report, 19-year-old Philip Maximus Davis driving a 2002 Hyundai northbound on Pine Street, failed to yield to a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Witt and traveling westbound on Howard Street. Witt laid down the bike to avoid the collision with the SUV.
Davis told police he did not see the motorcycle. Witt sustained road rash. Medic One transported Witt to the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.
The Harley sustained approximately $1,500 in damage.
