One Person Suffers Minor Injuries in Pottawattamie County Crash

(Elliott) A Cass County female suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident southwest of Griswold in Pottawattamie County.

The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on Sunday at 7:50 p.m. on Pioneer Trail. Authorities identified the injured person as Olivia Kay Ewing.

According to the report, a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Ewing, traveling east on Pioneer Trail, lost control of the vehicle while attempting to turn north on 535th Street. The SUV entered the northeast ditch, struck an embankment, and rolled over.

Griswold Rescue transported Ewing to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs to treat minor injuries.

The SUV sustained $18,000 in damage.
