(Guthrie Co) A Stuart man was charged with OWI 1st Offense and Failure to Maintain Control following a single-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says 70-year-old Vernon Pote was driving a 2007 Buick Lucerne southbound on Wagon Road when he went off onto the west shoulder and lost control. The Buick Lucerne went into the cable barrier causing damage to the vehicle and the barrier before coming to a stop.
Pote was not injured in the accident.
