(Lewis) One person suffered severe injuries in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Lewis.
Cass County Deputy Josh McLaren tells KSOM/KS95 News the accident happened around 10:22 p.m. on Friday at Oxford Road and Lewis Road.
“It appears the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Oxford Road and, for unknown reasons, failed to negotiate the curve,” said McLaren. “The motorcycle entered the ditch and rolled a couple of times before coming to rest on the southside of the intersection. The male subject was life-flighted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.”
The accident remains under investigation, and the victim’s name was not released at the time of this report.
Deputy McLaren says Life Flight out of Audubon, Cass EMS, Griswold, and Lewis Fire Departments assisted the Cass County Sheriffs at the scene.
