(Atlantic) The Atlantic Community School Board announced the hiring of Casey Pelzer as the new Atlantic Middle School Principal.
According to the press release, Mr. Pelzer, who had taught Elementary Physical Education, applied for the position and met with representatives from a parent group, ACSD Administration, the School Board, the incoming interim superintendent, students, and Middle School Staff late last week. Casey Pelzer accepted the job after the interview process, effective July 1, 2023.
Mr. Pelzer is a Cumberland and Massena High School graduate who received his bachelor’s degree in education from Buena Vista University and his Master’s Degree from Iowa State University.
Casey Pelzer’s new appointment as the Atlantic Middle School Principal is expected to be formally approved at the June 14th School Board Meeting.
