(Lewis) An Atlantic man suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident near Lewis.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at around 9:42 p.m. last Friday on Lewis Road and Quincy Road. Authorities identified the driver of the motorcycle as Billy Metheny.
According to the report, Metheny was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson eastbound, attempting to negotiate a curve, lost control, went off the road, and crashed into an embankment. Authorities say Metheny suffered significant life-threatening injuries, and area responders rendered immediate aid until Life Flight took Metheny to an Omaha Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
