(Des Moines) Seniors and veterans in Iowa can now apply for property tax exemptions. Iowans 65 and older are eligible for up to a combined 10 thousand dollars in the next two years. Veterans’ property tax exemptions will increase to four-thousand dollars per year. Both groups must apply by July 1st to be eligible for the relief.
