(Des Moines) Smoke from Canadian wildfires is hovering over a large part of the northern U.S., including Iowa. The National Weather Service says a big ribbon of smoke is extending over Iowa, but since it’s at about 20 thousand feet aloft, we will not smell it and might not see hazy conditions. Due to its position, it will not affect those with respiratory illnesses. The National Weather Service says sunsets will likely be extra vibrant over the next few days.
