Medicaid Continues To Cover Gender Transitioning Medical Treatment

(Des Moines) Iowans using Medicaid will continue to get coverage for gender-transitioning medical treatment.  The Iowa State Supreme Court has released its decision that the high court will not hear the case asking it to overturn a lower court ruling. That court determined that the proposed new law violates the Iowa Civil Rights Act. That means Medicaid will continue to cover gender-affirming care in Iowa.
