(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police Department is applying for warrants for a suspect in an alleged stabbing in Council Bluffs.
Chiann Jones, 39, stated her boyfriend identified as 55-year-old Jeff Smith, assaulted her, held her against her will in a bathroom, stabbed her in the hand with a knife, choked her, and threatened to kill her. The suspect fled before officers arrived at the scene.
The warrants against Smith include willful injury, 1st-degree kidnapping, 1st-degree harassment, and 1st-degree domestic abuse assault-strangulation with bodily harm.
