(Onawa) A woman has been charged following a stabbing in Monona County.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says on Wednesday, May 10th, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the Monona County Communications Center received information about an individual suffering from stab wounds and was subsequently receiving medical treatment at the Burgess Health Center in Onawa. The individual was flown to Mercy One in Sioux City.
After an investigation by the Monona County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the stabbing victim has been identified as 32-year-old Derek Webster Jr. Webster Jr. is currently in stable condition at Mercy One. 30-year-old Inessa Lyons was arrested by the Monona County Sheriff’s Office and has been charged for Attempted Murder and Willful Injury.
