(Des Moines) There’s another chance for severe weather in Iowa today. The National Weather Service says severe weather is likely in south, central, and eastern Iowa this afternoon and evening. Storms are expected to bring the chance for tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds.
Donna Dubberke, with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, tells KSOM/KS95 news storms are expected to develop late this afternoon and early evening.
Dubberke says this storm system will resemble last Friday’s severe weather outbreak.
Donna Dubberke says the weather service is looking at several different modules, and most of the modules have the storms developing somewhere in the southwest, or south-central part of the state, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
