(Des Moines) Iowa Auditor Rob Sand calls a bill that passed the Senate this week “pro-corruption.” He says it would give state agencies veto power to stop him from accessing information relevant to an audit and ends access to court appeals. Senator Mike Bousselot is the Senate manager for the bill and says the proposal is about privacy. It limits the state auditor’s access to criminal files, hospital records, peace officers’ reports, etc.
