(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved the use of unused funds for Fire Department pagers.
Mitch Kay, Budget and Finance Director, explained that they used ARPA funds to buy radios for all of the volunteer fire departments across the county. He said that original funding was $3,250,000 and of that, they have spent all but $120,000.
Kay said they will use the $120,000 of the ARPA funding that is available and take the remaining $66,583 from Gaming. However, they will be reimbursed that amount after July 1st from the EMA since EMA has that in their budget.
