(Atlantic) Austin Farmer, Project Director for Retail Coach, appeared at Wednesday’s Atlantic City Council meeting and provided an update on business recruitment. The City Council hired the business recruiting firm to identify retail opportunities within the city, recruit retailers, coach the community, help fill gaps, and ultimately act as an extension to the current staff, particularly how it relates to retail.
Farmer says they have been actively recruiting developers, retailers, restaurants, and franchisees to the Atlantic market for the past six months. Farmer says three developers are interested in the market and actively looking at sites.
Farmer says they continue to converse with Franchise Directors. Farmer admits they haven’t had that much success, but he believes they are getting there.
Farmer says a couple of prospects are actively reviewing the market, visiting with property owners, and conducting site analysis to see of they could potentially work.
