(Cass Co) Two men were arrested on drug trafficking charges in Cass County
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 55-year-old Bernard Ewertz III and 47-year-old David Headley, both of Log Lane Village, Colorado, were arrested Tuesday. Ewertz was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Control of a Firearm and Drug Trafficking. Headley was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Trafficking. Both men are being held in the Cass County Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office also arrested 40-year-old Zachary Frank, of Atlantic, on Tuesday on a warrant for Theft 4th Degree. Frank was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and held pending his later release on bond.
Matthew Stevens, 33, of Lewis, was arrested Monday on a warrant for Failure to Appear. Stevens was held in the Cass County Jail.
All criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in the court of law.
